Established this year 2025, Private Camping has come to WoodHollow Cove  on Vinalhaven.  Our founder, Gregory Smith, had a dream of creating a camping experience that was more than just a place to pitch a tent.  He wanted to create a community where people could come together, enjoy the great outdoors, and make memories that would last a lifetime.

Located on the beautiful Island of Vinalhaven in Maine. The beauty of the WoodHollow Cove wilderness mirrors the rugged Acadian coastline. From the ferry, it's a postcard worthy 20 min drive to reach our hidden Cove.  Our 30+ acre property is nestled on the ocean surrounded by towering trees and tucked in by big granite boulders.  

Only accessible by small plane or ferry, Woodhollow Cove offers a chance at a rugged primitive camping experience. WoodHollow provides for all its guests platforms for tenting, an eco-blockhouse, eco-kitchen, kayaks, SUPs, and pick-up/drop-off service from the Ferry Terminal.  Don't forget the rock climbing and nature trails!
